After double-digit returns in 2023 and 2024, Wall Street banks are forecasting another strong year in 2025. They expect the S&P 500 to reach a median 6,600 in 2025, which is an 11.5% rise from today.

The problem is, should we believe their bullish projections?

The most bullish forecasts come from Oppenheimer Asset Management, Deutsche Bank and Yardeni Research. These three banks and research firms project that the S&P 500 will reach 7,000 by 2025. The S&P 500 is currently at 5,872.
